Local councillors attend Selly Oak Festival 2011

Councillors Dave Radcliffe and Alistair Dow joined local residents at the Selly Oak Festival in Selly Oak Park.
Local Lib Dem councillors Dave Radcliffe and Alistair Dow joined local residents at the Selly Oak Festival in Selly Oak Park on Saturday 18 June 2011.
Organised by the Friends of Selly Oak Park, the Festival was a great opportunity to enjoy Selly Oak Park, support local organisations and schools and celebrate the recent improvements in the park. As well as the nature trail lauched earlier this year, a climbing frame and a zip wire have been installed for the benefit of older children.
Events at the Festival included a falconry display, a samba band and a junior football tournament. Councillor Dave Radcliffe was involved at the sharp end refereeing the football tournament.
Local councillors were also there to hold to an advice surgery and discuss any problems or concerns that local residents might have. Residents who were unable to attend the Festival are always welcome to visit one of the councillors' regular advice surgeries.
